HOME LEARNERS PLAY GROUPS PROGRAM

are specialized groups offered once per week in 90-minute sessions for children ages 6 through 12. Under the guidance of highly trained professionals, the programs are designed to meet the social needs of children who are home or distance learners (Self Design, EBUS etc.).

The Friend 2 Friend Play Centre programs combine the award-winning Integrated Play Groups®, Friend 2 Friend Autism Demystification® and SCERTS® models to create inclusive peer play and friendship programs. Our programs focus on the development of the social, communication, emotional regulation and peer play competencies of all the children participating in these specialized programs.

Each groups consists of 5-6 children. Novice player are children with autism or related social communcation and peer play needs. And expert player who are children with advanced social, communcation and peer play skills. Weekly play themes are created around the players affinities, and to enhance academic learning while engaging in play with peers. These groups bring together children with varying abilities and skills, to play, make friends while at the same support they social emotional needs in the true spirit of play and friendships.
