Puppet Presentations

FrustratedFriend 2 Friend Social Learning Society's Puppet Presentations are unique and innovative program that provide autism demystification and educational training for children ages 3 to 11.

Friend 2 Friend's presenters use child-size puppets to act out specifically tailored scripts which focus on differences, similarities and friendships for children with ASD and their peers.

The 5 key learning goals of each Puppet Presentation are to:

Our puppet presentations also include our Seven Friendship Tips which which support successful social interacts between children on the autism spectrum and their typically developing peers.

Each 45-minute Puppet Present includes the following learning opportunities:
  1. The Intro → Introduction and assigned observer
  2. The Puppet Play → Visual learning opportunity
  3. What Did Crystal Learn? → Visual and auditory learning opportunity
  4. Pass the Puppet Circle → Tactile learning opportunity
  5. Questions and Answers → Open dialogue
  6. Stickers → Transfer training

Friend 2 Friend Follow-up Resources:
Following the presentation we will provide a Friend 2 Friend Follow-Up Guide and That’s What’s Different About Me Story/Colouring book. These follow-up resources contain relevant information on including children on the autism spectrum in inclusive classroom and community settings.
