Can I Play Too? Autism Demystification Puppet Presentation Packaged Program is designed for self-use by parents and educations to promote understanding, acceptance, empathy and friendships between individuals on the autism spectrum (and related social-communication needs) and their peers. The story revolves around Roger, Mae and Emma three classmates who at recess time need some help to play together. With the help of his teachers (Mz. Pillar and Mr. Fergus) and Emma "who has a brother with autism" Roger learns not only how to play with Mae (individual on the autism spectrum) but how to use the "Seven Friendship Tips" to be a good friend to everyone.
The program package contains the following:
- Professionally shot and edited DVD of the "Can I Play Too?" puppet play and What did Roger Learn? review
- CD of printable materials, visuals and handouts
- Implementation manual
- 5 - colouring/story books (story adapted from the puppet play)
