Our new online Early Childhood and the Autism Spectrum Online Course is a step by step guide for implementing peer play and friendship activities at preschool, daycare and home. A self-directed four-module online course specially designed for early childhood educators and parents of young children with autism ages 3 through 7.

Friend 2 Friend Social Learning Society’s Early Childhood and the Autism Spectrum Online Course is a professional development, a self-directed online course specially designed for Early Childhood Educators and parents of young children with autism.

The course contains four modules each module is designed to build your ability to analyze the unique peer play and friendship needs of young children with autism. And will also prepare you to choose, modify and adapt play activities to enhance peer play and friendship between young children with autism and their peers.

 

Course Learning Objectives

Early Childhood and the Autism Spectrum Online Course is an interactive learning environment us real-life case studies, video instruction and an interactive activities matrix to support your capacity to create affinity-based, peer play and friendship activities. The overall learning objectives are as follows:

Identify
The challenges young children with autism face in playing and making friends.

Understand
The Critical Success Factors for promoting peer play and friends between young children with autism and their peers.

Implement
The tools provided to aid in the development of peer play and friendships between young children with autism and their peers.
